What We Do…
Nu-Way Systems gently hand-washes oriental, Persian, and area rugs using the following steps:
- Inspect rug for damage and areas that will need special attention.
- Identify the make of the fiber.
- Select best cleaning method for your specific fiber type and condition.
- Pre-vacuum.
- Test for colorfastness of rug dyes.
- Spot stains and pre-treat rug for cleaning.
- Gently clean using the safest Clean-for-Health method for your rug.
- Hand-clean and brush rug fringes if requested.
- Inspect cleaning results and re-clean if necessary.
- Apply carpet protector if requested.
- Prep rug for drying and shrinkage protection.
- Speed dry rug.
- Inspect cleaning results. Re-clean problem areas as needed.
What We Don’t Do
- Nu-Way Systems does not machine wash area rugs. Machine washing is a “quantity” cleaning method used to wash rugs quickly. Hand washing is a “quality” cleaning method used when rug safety and a thorough cleaning are more important than cleaning speed.
- Nu-Way Systems does not over-wet rugs. Over-wetting will result in browning and shrinkage.
- Cleaning residue left in rugs causes rapid re-soiling. A Nu-Way Systems cleaned rug is rinsed free of all soil and cleaning residue.
